HE may be a real-life hero to his girlfriend, Hollywood starlet Hayden Panettiere, but actor Milo Ventimiglia will be just as happy to snuggle up to a koala in her absence
In town with his co-star Masi Oka to promote the Seven series Heroes, the small screen talents are trying to fit in some sight-seeing on their whirlwind two-day visit to Oz.
And topping the list of Aussie experiences is to get up close and personal with some furry friends.
“Masi wants to hug a wombat but I’d love to hold a koala. They sleep 22 hours a day, eat eucalyptus leaves and just hang out. I want to spend some time with that guy.” Ventimiglia said.
Heroes fans can meet the pair at JB Hi-FI in The Galeries Victoria, on George Street, Sydney, where they will be signing DVDs from 1.15pm today.

Oft-shirtless actor Milo Ventimiglia recently came out against Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell to homo-journo Brandon Voss:
“When it comes down to it, gay or straight, youâre holding a weapon and fighting for our country, so sexuality seems irrelevant. It bothers me that in this day and age people are still looked at differently for having a sexual orientation that isnât in agreement with an old institution such as the military. That being said, I can understand why a gay person in the military would just not want to say anything about it, because it would probably attract unnecessary attention. At the same time, it makes me sad to think that people canât live their life openly, thinking that they wonât be accepted. “
Ventimiglia also tells Voss that his sister used to dress him up as Madonna and he wanted blogger Perez Hilton to draw cum all over his face.

Milo Ventimiglia wants to play Robin in a new Batman film.
The 31-year-old actor — who is dating his Heroes co-star Hayden Panettiere — is desperate to play the caped-crusader’s famed sidekick if the part should come up in a future outing to Gotham City.
He explains, “I always thought I would make a great Robin.
“I would love to be Christian Bale’s sidekick in Batman. Even when I was younger I never wanted to be Batman.
“I have always wanted to be Robin. To this day I still think that would be pretty cool.”
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that 62-year-old singer Cher won’t be playing Catwoman in a third Christopher Nolan-directed Batman film.
A spokesman for Warner Bros. said that reports the Believe hitmaker would be joining a cast including Johnny Depp as the Riddler “are untrue.”

| Milo Ventimiglia Asks, âWant To Play A Game?â |

The teaser trailer for âGameâ wonât be out until the holidays â since the film was just delayed until next year â but co-star Milo Ventimiglia (âHeroesâ) said itâll be worth the wait. The game in âGameâ â from âCrankâ and âPathologyâ creators Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor â is a futuristic multiplayer in which you can control other people. Gerard Butlerâs, John Leguizamoâs, and Ventimigliaâs characters are forced to play first person games, and are considered just Sim-like avatars by the people who play them, and control their actions remotely, much like you would on a Wii.
The game is watched by millions online, and the players are pop culture heroes. But in the real world, the players are death row prisoners, who hope that playing the game will set them free. If you win 30 games, youâre out (hey, itâs one way to alleviate an overburdened prison system). Butlerâs character, John Tillman â who plays under the handle Kable â is the first person to ever get close to that number.
While Butlerâs Kable â who may have been falsely imprisoned â is forced to kill in the game called âSlayerzâ, what Ventimigliaâs character does is âa little more disturbing,â as you might guess from his name â Rick Rape. âHeâs a very misunderstood character,â Ventimiglia said. âHeâs kind of loose and slippery and he doesnât operate like a regular human being.â
Visually, he should be disturbing as well, Ventimiglia said, since the character wears a latex outfit that makes him look like âa bumblee fâed a black widow and acts like a snake.â Quite an image.

âHeroesâ star Milo Ventimiglia, who plays fan-favorite Peter Petrelli on the hit NBC show, is a huge fan of comic books. Not only is the actor currently filming episodes for the third season of the comics-inspired show dubbed âHeroes Volume Three: Villains,â but heâs also teamed with Devilâs Due Publishing to launch his own comic book, âRest,â the first issue of which is in stores now.
CBR News recently visited the âHeroesâ set in Los Angeles to speak with the actor about âHeroes,â and in this second of a three-part interview with Milo Ventimigilia, he discusses with us his new book, his love for the comics medium, and what itâs like to see his image in the work of some of comicsâ greatest artists.
âRestâ is about a white-collar New Yorker whose life changes when he becomes addicted to a drug that prevents him from falling asleep. âIt actually came out of the writerâs strike,â explained Ventimiglia. âI had a great script from this writer named Michael Sullivan that needed a little work, but when the strike happened we couldnât sit down and work on it so we pitched it out to a couple of comic book companies.â Continue…

After a disappointing sophomore season that saw fan criticism, a drop in viewers by 15 percent and a shortened run because of the Writers Strike, the NBC telvision series âHeroesâ is back this fall with a vengeance. Dubbed âVolume Three: Villains,â the season promises to address some of the complaints that fans had about the second season, which included a slow build up to the main story and the addition of new characters that took away focus from the main cast.
CBR News stopped by the âHeroesâ set in Los Angeles to with Milo Ventimiglia, who plays one of the showâs chief characters, Peter Petrelli. In part one of a three-part interview, the actor speaks candidly with us about the new season, which begins airing on September 22, new cast members and the long awaited introduction of Arthur Petrelli.
Ventimiglia began by talking about how âHeroesâ plans to deal with some of the fans complaints in its third season. âI think thereâs always a concern that when you bring in new people that you limit your time with the old people,â said the actor. âI think that the producers have done a very good job this year of balancing that. I think they understood that when we were all separated in the second season, the fans werenât too into that. When you bring in a new character, bring him in with a reason. Bring him in with a purpose. Donât just pack it with a bunch of new faces that nobody knows.â Continue…
